Finance companies’ assets surge 41% YoY to Rs. 3.2 t by June
Sri Lanka’s finance company sector expanded sharply in the year to June, with total assets rising 41% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs. 3.2 trillion, driven by a 47.8% expansion in lending, the latest Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) data showed.

CSE mixed sentiment continues
Continuing last week’s mixed performance, the Colombo Stock Exchange’s (CSE) benchmark All Share Price Index (ASPI) closed lower on Monday (10) at 21,417.47, marginally down by 0.04%, while the S&P Sri Lanka 20 Index showed a slight positive movement, closing at 5,985.49, up by 0.22%, according to the CSE’s daily market performance report.

Sri Lanka Royal Ceramics’ June quarter profit jumps 56-pct to Rs1.80bn
Sri Lanka’s Royal Ceramics Lanka PLC reported a profit of 1.8 billion rupees for the quarter ended 30 June 2026, a 56.1 percent increase from same quarter previous year, a accounts filed to the Colombo Stock Exchange showed.
