SL pursuing RCEP entry – Trade Ministry
The Trade Ministry is establishing its readiness of Sri Lanka through several channels to join the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) which consist of 15 countries, Trade Ministry Secretary K.A. Vimalenthirajah told the recently held roundtable discussion themed ‘Sri Lanka’s Pathway to RCEP and the Emerging Global Trading Order’ organised by Pathfinder Foundation.

IMF year-end reserve target unrealistic: MP
Sri Lanka’s gross official reserves target of $ 8.6 billion (b) agreed under the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) Extended Fund Facility (EFF) programme cannot be reached this year, as it is unrealistic in the current economic circumstances and the current reserve position is built with domestic swaps, Committee on Public Finance Chairperson Dr Harsha de Silva said on Monday (8), speaking on Ada Derana 360.
