ADB projects India’s GDP to moderate to 6.9-pct in 2026
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) projects India’s gross domestic product growth to ease to 6.9% in fiscal year 2026 (FY2026, ending 31 March 2027) — from 7.6% in FY2025 — before accelerating to 7.3% in FY2027, according to the Asian Development Outlook (ADO) April 2026.

NDB irregularities extend to involve other financial institutions: Sri Lanka legislator
A “systematic failure of accountability” by Sri Lanka’s central bank has led to the multi-billion rupee fraud at National Development Bank extend “to involve 5 to 7” other banks and up to 4-9 non-banking financial institutions, former finance minister Ravi Karunanayake told Parliament.
