Sri Lanka rupee closes at 335.35/45 to US dollar spot, bond yields dip
Sri Lanka’s rupee closed at 335.35/45 to the US dollar in the spot market on Friday from 335.55/80 the previous day, while bond yields closed down on the shorter tenors dealers said.

Tokyo Cement posts steady 1Q performance amid gradual market recoverys
Tokyo Cement Group yesterday said it posted a turnover of Rs. 15.8 billion and a Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs. 635 million for 1Q ended 30 June 2026, up from a turnover of Rs. 12.5 billion and a PAT of Rs. 668 million in the same period last year.

Commercial Credit shares traded at Rs100.50-113 in 95mn block sale
Sri Lanka’s Commercial Credit and Finance shares held by Group Lease Holdings, a Singaporean company currently in liquidation, were sold between 100.50 rupees and 113 rupees a piece, according to a market filing.
